Well it certainly got us talking about it! I do appreciate when filmmakers (typically Tarantino or Rodriguez) discuss remaking movies they love when they have almost no intention of doing so. It helps burgeoning film geeks do the legwork to discover new films.
A nonexistent remake can still get people talking . That's for sure.
