Podcast: Death Wish 3 (1985)

Charles Bronson plays Batman with a gun in this third installment of the five-part movie series about elderly architect turned vigilante Paul Kersey, who returns to New York to wage war on a 1980s gang of reverse mohawked punks who use unlimited resources to hassle poor old people in an inner-city neighborhood.

Inspired by the recent death of director Michael Winner, and a fabulous commentary track on the Hot Fuzz DVD wherein Edgar Wright and Quentin Tarantino discuss almost 200 movies (including this one), we indulge in our own Bronson (or Sarcastic Clerk from The Simpsons) imitations and posit our theory on why violent video games actually reduce homicides.

Also Roger Ebert has some weird White Man's Burden suggestions as to how the racial politics should have played out. Enjoy!
