Trailer for Uwe Boll's Ninja Gaiden

From the man who brought you House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark, Bloodrayne, In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale, and Postal, comes Uwe Boll's newest foray into the world of mediocre video games adapted into terrible films: Ninja Gaiden.

The problem is that Ninja Gaiden is actually a pretty good game, and judging by the unexpected competency of the trailer, this one may not be as eyebleedingly awful. I'm betting on generic, mediocre, and ultimately forgettable.

  1. Didn't they close the loophole where the German government would cover the costs for movies that bombed? I think he has to try to make 'em decent now.

  2. I feel like I just saw the whole movie. Right there in the trailer. Thanks for saving me the time Nick, because I was actually going to check this one out.

  3. Keep in mind I base this on the trailer, and Boll's track record. For all I know it could be crotch-kickingly awesome.

  4. Strange that there's no listing for this film on IMDB (either generally or in Uwe's profile). Could it be so craptacular that no one is willing to admit it exists?

Either way, someone will have to explain to me why the main ninja in this thing is a white guy. Played by some dude who washed out of the soap opera circuit and is really hoping he lands that new Bowflex commercial.

  5. Yeah I noticed that too. I saw the trailer and went to imdb to verify it. Nothing. There are, however, 10 other projects he's tenuously attached to. I bet Boll personally spams his imdb and Wikipedia pages with bogus information.

  6. Oh...My...God...
Tell me this is a joke.
Did they SERIOUSLY give Uwe Boll the rights to make Ninja Gaiden?
